Zimbabwe
Located in southern Africa, Zimbabwe is a landlocked country, which is home to the Victoria Falls, one of the world's most inspirational and awe-inspiring waterfalls. The falls are located in the northwest of the country as part of the Zambezi River and here at Revere Travel we believe they are a must visit for any luxury Zimbabwe holiday.
Zimbabwe is a safe, affordable country and is famous for its superb wildlife viewing, fascinating historical past and breathtaking landscapes. The safari guides are renowned for being some of the most qualified in Africa and there are excellent wildlife densities in the national parks. Many of Zimbabwe’s big animals are accustomed to vehicles and can be observed and photographed from close quarters.
The Zambezi was damned at Kariba in the late 1950s, forming the largest man-made lake in the world by volume: Lake Kariba. Visitors can experience the lake on live aboard houseboats, cruising the shoreline on the hunt for the hard fighting tiger fish, or game viewing into Matusadona National Park from the deck. On the banks of the Lower Zambezi, Mana Pools National Park is an iconic safari destination high on the list for any avid safari-goer and often regarded as the number one walking safari destination in Africa. Founded in 1928, Hwange National Park is the country’s largest, playing host to the greatest elephant population in Africa, as well as over 100 mammal and 400 bird species.
